C'mon guys give Neverwinter Nights a GOOD try!
The power of that game lies in multiplayer, the 3th edition rules AND making mods (the aurora toolset)

Ironically, many people find the implementation of 3e rules very poor. And its weaknesses are many: radial menu that many find annoying, the poor excuse of an official campaign, repetitive graphics born out of using tilesets, limited game engine, lack of cloaks/robes, subpar graphics that might have looked great two years ago... Well, I won't go on.

Besides, if I wanted to play something multiplayer, there are better games for that purpose.

Why do you think they'll be releasing a few add-ons? Not for singleplayer... To keep the modders at work! New tilesets, enhanced toolset, great new items and spells, classes, ...

Beg to differ. Some of the best modules I've played -- and they are quite acclaimed in NWN communities -- are geared toward single player. (The Art of Thanaturge, Elegia Eternum, Witch's Wake, to name but a few.) By the way, I'm not getting the expansion pack unless I can find a pirated copy. I'm not going to hand Bioware another cent, and really, the new contents -- IMO -- don't sound that lucrative. Prestige classes I can live without; new tilesets are so-so, since there're tons of other better-looking user-made ones out there; henchman inventory management has already been done in a custom-made hakpack; new spells I could live without; new feats don't excite me all that much. That leaves what? A new official campaign? And you know how much I loved the first one.
