So.. I'm a pretty avid 5e player.. I like the system for what it is, but it does have a pretty major lack of options when it comes to customizing your character beyond character creation. Classes like the Champion fighter don't get any choices at all.. And most martial classes have very few. Feats help this somewhat, but with most classes only getting the option every 4 levels, you have to wait a long time inbetween these choices.
Now.. this isn't that terrible in a pen and paper setting because you can do a lot with reflavoring and describing what you're doing in color ways... That is not the case with a PC game.

I think it's fair to say that any modern RPG has character progression options far beyond what 5e offers and with the flavor being handled by the game I'm rather worried that you won't have many options to make your character your own. Not to mention the game only going to level 10, so you'll most likely only have access to 2 ASIs. I don't intent on playing the early access in fear of spoilers, but I was wondering could tell me if they've added more stuff to pick while leveling up? Or are most classes simply locked into a linear progression like they would be in 5e?
