After watching all the vids/streams I can find about the game, and as a big fan of the series, here are my 2 cents:
1. I really hope the UI could be more reminiscent of the original saga. I understand that it was built with a totally different engine but at least the UI could be more BG like, or, how to put it, more fantasy like and sophisticated (like the use of textures, I even hated the BG/BG2EE UI for being too streamlined). 2. I hope there's fog of war like in the original saga to give it a better sense of exploration and mysteriousness. 3. Please give us real time with pause. As pointed out by a youtuber, the game has way less environmental interaction/combos as compared to DOS series, so making it turned based makes some of the fights quite tedious since all you do is really just click and attack and miss for each turn.
What do you guys think?

1. I personally dislike the current UI and wish they would use a UI similar to DOS2. I hate having to physical click the Jump icon to jump instead of just having it on a hotbar. I also think that the HUD takes up a bit too much of the screen. I think the Journal could also be a little more easy to organize.
2. There is fog of war in the game, at least on the maps. Is that what you were referring to?
3. I disagree that there are way less environmental interaction/combos. I would honestly argue that there are about the same, and they probably plan on implementing more as they release more patches. They will more than likely implement a RTC with pause system later on though, like they did with DOS2 (at least... I think they did with DOS2?).

What do you guys think? \\For the love of God please no fog of war, shit I cant even see the horizon in this build as it is. I live in colorado I can see the mountains from 30 miles or more away, but in the game I cant see 20' in front of me... silly
DRAGON FIRE-AND DOOM Dragons? Splendid things, lad-so long as ye look upon them only in tapestries, or in the masks worn at revels, or from about three realms off... Astragarl Hornwood, Mage of Elembar - Year of the Tusk

Knowing what’s inside a room before even entering it? That’s the biggest con of DOS as well, greatly reduces the sense of exploration.
