You are my hero Goldberry, I agree on all points. I noticed the same thing, constant conflict no matter what combination of NPCs I put in my party, The best I could achieve was parity (half for, half against) and nothing close to consensus. I am not looking forward to fifty hours with these NPCs as they are portrayed in the early release. Some are tolerable, but most are annoying and not worth the trouble of emotionally babysitting. Hopefully there will be hirelings or the ability to draft our own henchmen as a work around.
I'm trying to like them, but it's... well, it's a bit like having a bunch of Morrigans in tow. I guess I'm going to have to put up with a certain degree of "xxx disapproves" because I'm trying to balance the urgency of not being a brain sandwich with not being completely mercenary about everyone I encounter. Though given my "1337 combat skillz" I sometimes wonder if it wouldn't be kinder to not involve myself in other people's problems as I seem to end up getting them killed. But at least I meant well! etc.
