I honestly like all the companions so far, though Astarion is my least favourite. Even then I enjoy his character dynamic and the way he wants to control the tadpole because it makes perfect sense given his backgroud; he's a vampite spawn, he's used to being infected by something considered evil and then learning to live with it and make it a strength. I actually like Lae-zel quite a lot and she's one of my favourites alongside Wyll. Her interactions with Shadowheart are quite interesting, though I will admit that I hope there's opportunities as the game goes on to get some sense of greater harmony in the party as things go on. They don't have to all get along, but at least build up a mutual respect and have them stop sniping at each other, because having to deal with that for a whole game might get tiring.
