OMG !!

I mean ... I was complaining about having only one healer in the companion list .. but if you give me Divine Soul Wizards this solves the problem ...

in 5e the rules are:

wizards can learn spells in their spell list for scrolls
casters can cast spells of their class and of a lvl they can without roll
for casting something out of lvl you need a roll.

you cant cast anything outside your spell list, unless you have something like allow you to ignore class restrictions (artificer)

For sure a lot of good points.

The XP thing in particular is something I noticed and the difference between painting roads with blood and bones and being a negotiator is pretty big. I do think that after all combat and bodycount should grant more XP as there is sure a lot more effort and actual experience involved than cutting some sort of a deal, but the difference should not be 3x or 5x or some such end XP result I seen.

Many other points sound like bugs and roughness of very early access game, it took them a year to move D:OS2 from EA to release and I bet BG3 will take much more, especially given the situation with coronavirus, why I legit expect release to be in 2 years from now. So pretty sure we won't see Cleric Wizards and other nonsense, outside appropriate kits.

For example, I sure hope conversation quirks where you are about to have your throat slit while Shadowheart or frikkin' Laz just standing there enjoying the show will be improved. There are also less obvious, but more frequent cases where you have a conversation and one of your companions is just photobombing it with that blank stare into nothingness far away.

Speaking more of conversations - DC on persuasion/intimidation/deception checks needs to be lowered a tad, right now many conversations require unrealistic DC from a bunch of level 2-4 blokes that just crashed from the sky and barely have +5 to these skills at the very best case. Like that brawl at the gates after the goblin attack on Druid Grove, I saved their hides there and they toss a bunch of 15/17 DC persuasion checks at my face there like no tomorrow, that even a +5 persuasion character (which is A LOT at level 2) will have difficulty handling.

Some conversation skills having high DC checks make sense, like that kissing incident or Shadowheart coming clean, but every other mundane persuasion being 15+ DC is steep.

Definetely spell learning should be restricted. And I thought about this since first reading thr post. Class identity is important. Limitations are a huge part of what makes them unique.

So are features and powers.

I do like the game and hope these can be fixed.

I don't want to have to turn all martial mellee characters into a mortal kombat cangaroo complex by abusing the jumping skill. Disengage should be separated, and most of them should not be bonus unless you are a rogue.

Thanks Larian for trying, I hope they will listen to these requests and improve the dnd aspect of the game.

I agree that the companions should react as you get eaten by the mindflayer. (I really enjoyed the fact that a bad dice roll got me and my party killed.)

The companions could of course protest against you approaching the midnflayer. But it might also be interesting if they encouraged you to get eaten by the mindflayer -- if they were mind-controlled by it too!

Please restrict scroll use to the correct classes\spell lists.

It messes with balance, but more importantly, if messes with class identity.
