Ok Im stuck trying to kill the big guy in the mine. Any idea how to do it? Do I need to do it?

Im playing as a mage (no boobytrap) have tons of heal, mana, restoration potion. Ive tried casting level 2 hell spikes, elemental hail, ummm the bolt thing (not lightening) used both sheilds with no luck.

Moriendor? I used Energy Cage and Elemental Hail - but freeze and Elemental Hail worked, too.

And then I tried Survivor's Curse several times + Energy Cage and Elemental Hail = he was down in a matter of seconds - the game paused and then I saw him crawling away, with the curse symbol on his back side, I laughed myself away <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Try fade from side or invisability potions and walk past him. If you go on and enter the north-western gate, he'll appear again. But this time he'll leave and you can take the axe.

An other option: Freeze him!!
