I have gotten all the way to the goblin fortress and fought my way out, fought the giant phase spider and so far nothing has really been challenging. I hope there will be the implementation of other difficulties, I know that you started off making this game for everyone and its great! As a suggestion for difficulty making enemies bullet sponges I don't agree with so maybe just adding in more varied enemies and maybe adding a few extra enemies into each fight would really make the difference.

Other than that great job guys!

It took me less than a minute to die on the first character I made. I botched jumping over the fire in the brine pool room and died from two ticks of fire. XD

Been there.

I also had a combat at lv2 where the bad guys crit 3/4 hits to start the fight and I had 2 party members down and the other 2 half dead.

I do agree that having more enemies or giving enemies more abilities is a good way to increase the difficulty though.

There will be more difficulty levels leading up to release. I know this because I saw an option for difficulty in multiplayer, but there's no way to actually select it yet because they haven't been implemented.

My only hope is that they will actually be hard enough. Divinity OS2 added two (or was it three) difficulties EASIER than classic. I was pretty shocked by that considering how easy classic was, but I guess enough people are bad at strategy games that they had to satisfy the demand. Meanwhile, the hardest mode was only one above classic (tactician, or honor, same difficulty really). I had to mod the fuck out of OS2 with difficulty mods to actually make it challenging enough to not feel trivial. I sincerely hope they add an actually difficult, like one that may even feel unfair, to the game for those of us who really want to grind a challenge.

"Combat is easy", now that's wrong. "Combat is easy for me", that's more like.
Not that I want it easy, or don't like easy; just adjusting difficulty until it's at that right spot is very useful. Because too easy is boring, too hard is frustrating, unless one wants it to be boring or frustrating.

There can be 100x times higher difficulty, just has to be 100x lower as well.
