Come back at a higher level when you are stronger, or drop your armour/potions before talking to the manager, and pick them up on the way to the ring.

I had real high strength, with and without the strength potions, but I didn't win, so then I boosted by vitality and won! YEa, I think you just need a lot of hitpoints to survive him.

Toss your equipment/potions in the ring or on the ground before talking to the manager; you should be able to pick them up before the fight.

![[Linked Image]](http://kiya1.via.t-online.de/images/Div_Burleigh2.jpg) Yep, just drop the stuff before you challenge, then pick up quickly afterwards. See? My mage only needed potions (lots of them , had only damage 6) - with armour it would even be easier. Kiya

When I went to fight Burleigh I was 39 level warrior.First time I lose but imidiately I've challenged him another time and then I won.Without leaving my equipment before talking to manager.Maybe thats the right way

Wellllll, there are several ways - all are right to get what you want Kiya
and I had a lot of fun, watching my weak mage bash that brute up - with 6 pts damage per hit - sipping restoration potions - took awful long, but was fun

Hmm, I always had about 100 dexterity with everything un-equipped when I fought him. By that time I also had some skill points in fire damage, lightning damage and spirit damage, and was able to deal out a lot of damage and not take too much. I never thought about cheating the fight, though I'm going to have to try it now, naked, with a frost sword.

yes, I threw down a ring, an armor plate, a helmet, and a sword. I beat his [nocando]! Just got my sword out, my armor on, and chopped at him with my sword. Nice!
