Just for the record, I had a similar thread against the chain/unchain control system: http://forums.larian.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=679414#Post679414

The more we keep these visible, more chances we will get to have Larian at least acknowledge/address the problem with their solution.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

And speaking of jumping, it would be great if the AI knew how to jump, so I wouldn't have to individually control everyone to jump over a gap.

my thought exactly. More direct party control is a must for tactical gameplay like this. The attention it gets, the better.

They just need to add formation so you can make sure party members are positioned correctly and instead of using their "chains" give us a button to solo the character. Having to pull apart your characters seems kind of cool but gets old. Separating your party is something you do a hell of a lot more in D&D than you do in DOS.

Would love Hotkey to chain-all and unchain-all.

A select all button, marquee select and one click to select one person.
Chaining is doing something different for the sake of doing something different. Something clunky.
