True, the intro was cool... not very "classic high fantasy", but quite a ride.
Honestly it didn't need to be 'classic high fantasy' to me. Once you get mindflayers involved that notion sort of gets thrown out the window, I feel. Because mindflayers are more akin to lovecraftian fantasy than anything. But I honestly just love dragons, and there aren't enough high quality sequences where they're the 'good' guys. so it made me very happy to see them ripping up and burning that ship.
