In the wetlands today i came across 2 wood woads and 3 ancient mud mephits
the mud mephits had the summon mephit ability (in game called mud friend)
it summoned a young mud mephit
Issues:
1. the ancients would summon a new mephit every round (monster manual says 1/day, intentional? maybe not a glitch?)
--- before i knew it, there were 20+ mephits in combat! causing extreme lag
--- if this summon rate is intentionaly, maybe think about capping number of summons?
--- this number would have been game over if not for issue #2
2. the summoned mephits would rarely perform any action (more or attack), just causing extreme delays of about 1 min each mephit to decide to do nothing
--- occasionally 1 or 2 would move and attack, but very rare
--- this seemed like a glitch (maybe due to too many monsters on the board?)
3. when the ancient mud mephits died, the young ones did not despawn (as per monster manual, but maybe intentional)
--- again, if it wasn't for issue #2, them not respawning with the summoner dead would have been game over
