Hand,im glad your here to refine my ideas.
<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Thank you. Ideas are what keeps me going.
So in conclusion if you go as yourself, you suffer a huge decrease in rep but the different races have a different rep for each of the other races which may be positive or negative depending on how they get along.
Yes, but what if Elf-you goes to a Dwarf and rescues their fair, hairy daughter, giving you a massive reputation boost with that particular Dwarf. Then if you come back as Dwarf-you, your reputation with him would be the Dwarf default again as he remembers an Elf rescuing his (hairy) daughter.
On top of that, this could make for interesting quests. Sure you can morph into the perfect race for each occasion, but that is only good as a disguise. By morphing into a conflicting race (such as above) you can begin to settle disputes and bring unity to the races, assuming they don't stone you to death first.
And then for fun, the Elf and Dwarf councils meet and request the presence of both the Dwarf-you and the Elf-you. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
My mind must be waking up. Another idea: Each race has attribute modifiers as a percentage. eg:
Humans are standard (no bonus or penalty).
Elves have -20% Strength, +20% Agility, -10% Constitution, +10% Intelligence.
Dwarfs have +20% Strength, -20% Agility, +20% Constitution, -20% Speed.
