1.Crouching enemies??
It would be interesting to have enemies who actually crouch sometimes when being attacked or dissappear only to reappear behind you. Or have some enemies flee a short distance to either drink potions, eat food or simply run away.
There isn't enough interesting AI, unfortunately. Some of those ideas would be good. Even if they started scripting some of the enemies tactics (eg. use these places for cover, lure the heros into these traps, etc.) it would be good.
2.armour immunity
As i feel it is my duty to make this game as hard as possible i suggest that some monsters are immune to the skills that some armour gives you.
E.g orcs are immune to skills by rings.
Imps are immune to skills by helmets
Lizards are immune to skills by boots.
Interesting idea, but it seems entirely unplausable. Perhaps they could carry magical pouches that they throw like grenades. Each pouch negates the magical abilities of whatever armour it hits for 2 minutes. This would get really interesting when you lose the strength bonus you're relying on to use your big-[nocando] sword!
Demons-i feel that there should be demons around level 49(only 20 of them) who each have low attack/defence but high hitpoints say like 1200. They would be found in a sort of lava pit and would have high resistances to spirit/fire.
The odd good weapon and money would be the main drop.
Something that lasts more than a few seconds? Agreed.
Dragons- for me they would be deep in the cave, say they would be only 8 of them in the game and they would guard huge amounts of treasure gems.
They would have a high attack/defence but only around 900 hitpoints.
High resistance to poison and lighting
Personally I'd have them as quest points. Dragons are too special to just have wandering around. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Perhaps Patriach in
Divine Divinity should have gotten upset and tried to kill you after you tricked him?
