Raze,yes i understand that,what i am saying is that instead of a breatplate covering the upper and(sometimes) lower body,that it could be "split". I.e the breastplate covers just the upper body and bottoms cover the lower body.
I know there are leggings but it seems like they cover the body from just above the knee downwards to the ankles.
Again only some breastplates cover from the upper body to the lower body below so usually it seems like that part of the body is exposed.
Plus i feel uncomfortable walking around in a skirt/dress. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
About the dwarf thing,well if say you were surrounded by enemies and had to run,you realise that the hero runs faster than any monster and so that would give you a headstart in the borrowing idea.
Or it could be that a dwarf (if he has a spade or pickaxe in his inventory) could dig up a bit of the ground (in certain spots in mines only) and cause the pursuing enemies to fall/trip thereby losing some hitpoints.
I like this idea actually.
