1.Crouching enemies??
It would be interesting to have enemies who actually crouch sometimes when being attacked or dissappear only to reappear behind you. Or have some enemies flee a short distance to either drink potions, eat food or simply run away. There isn't enough interesting AI, unfortunately. Some of those ideas would be good. Even if they started scripting some of the enemies tactics (eg. use these places for cover, lure the heros into these traps, etc.) it would be good. 2.armour immunity As i feel it is my duty to make this game as hard as possible i suggest that some monsters are immune to the skills that some armour gives you. E.g orcs are immune to skills by rings. Imps are immune to skills by helmets Lizards are immune to skills by boots. Interesting idea, but it seems entirely unplausable. Perhaps they could carry magical pouches that they throw like grenades. Each pouch negates the magical abilities of whatever armour it hits for 2 minutes. This would get really interesting when you lose the strength bonus you're relying on to use your big-[nocando] sword! Demons-i feel that there should be demons around level 49(only 20 of them) who each have low attack/defence but high hitpoints say like 1200. They would be found in a sort of lava pit and would have high resistances to spirit/fire. The odd good weapon and money would be the main drop. Something that lasts more than a few seconds? Agreed. Dragons- for me they would be deep in the cave, say they would be only 8 of them in the game and they would guard huge amounts of treasure gems. They would have a high attack/defence but only around 900 hitpoints. High resistance to poison and lighting Personally I'd have them as quest points. Dragons are too special to just have wandering around. Perhaps Patriach in Divine Divinity should have gotten upset and tried to kill you after you tricked him?

Dragons--- yes interesting, they are special but i still say they should be a couple of them like 4 or 5 and not just 1 or 2. I am ashamed to say i did kill Patriach and got a pair of boots for my trouble(nothing special)
I am beginig to think that demons too should be very rare, after all i find that these two creatures are the most powerful and evil beings(according to me).
Hopefully i will suggest some better ideas on a more regular basis after today.

Well after downloading the patch (which took 25 min) and then getting tied up in RL,there was one thing which seemed to bother me.
The below may sound ridiculous but....
Now being a male myself i was wondering if instead of leggings you could have say trousers or bottoms, which would cover the waist down to the ankles.
Also while i dont mind breastplates, why is it that they seem to cover not just the upperbody but some of the lower body as well(also in the form of a dress/skirt!!!).(e.g tunic, chain mail).
IMO the leggings dont cover enough of the lower body and so bottoms would be a good alterative and also the breastplate would be just that a breastplate.
I think that for females the tunics should be in the form of a dress(as in the game now) but the males should have a slighter variation.
Another thing: If we were to allow the hero to play as a dwarf, then i say the dwarf should be able to tunnel underground to escape enimies, the dwarf could only go underground and not into the wall but if the enemy stands directly above where the dwarf is standing he would be able to figure out that the ground isnt stable and discover the dwarf.

[color:"orange"]Also while i dont mind breastplates, why is it that they seem to cover not just the upperbody but some of the lower body as well[/color] Um... some of the lower body is just as vital to protect as the heart and lungs, etc. Real armour often includes a 'skirt' so the breastplate overlaps the leg armour, providing added protection and ensuring there are no visible seems a sword or knife could be slipped between.

I think that the burrowing dwarf is a bit far fetched. Sure they live in caves, but they're not badgers. And on that, even a badger can't tunnel away from danger that quickly. Feign Death and Fade to Shadows exist.

Raze, yes i understand that, what i am saying is that instead of a breatplate covering the upper and(sometimes) lower body, that it could be "split". I.e the breastplate covers just the upper body and bottoms cover the lower body.
I know there are leggings but it seems like they cover the body from just above the knee downwards to the ankles. Again only some breastplates cover from the upper body to the lower body below so usually it seems like that part of the body is exposed.
Plus i feel uncomfortable walking around in a skirt/dress.
About the dwarf thing, well if say you were surrounded by enemies and had to run,you realise that the hero runs faster than any monster and so that would give you a headstart in the borrowing idea.
Or it could be that a dwarf (if he has a spade or pickaxe in his inventory) could dig up a bit of the ground (in certain spots in mines only) and cause the pursuing enemies to fall/trip thereby losing some hitpoints. I like this idea actually.

sorry but i find the idea a bit far fetched to
There are wounds that bleed inside us
There are wounds we never see
They are part of our refinements
That allow a man to be
There are wounds that bleed in silence
With aristocratic grace
There are tears we keep beside them
Never seen upon a face

But surely you guys like the part about armour having bottoms and not forcing the men to wear skirts
I mean almost all the males wear trousers in dd except the hero.
Even knights have some sort of trousers/bottom armour!!

Another one.(Apologies if i have said this before)
I think that when you make potions instead of just using a mushroom with a flask you should fill the flask with water and then use the mushroom on it.
To get water you use a bucket with a well/river and this bucket can fill 8 small flasks 4 meduim flasks 2 large flasks.
Just drag the bucket on to the flask and a number will pop up stating how many flasks you want to fill, select the number and then drag the water filled flask to the mushroom you want.
Washing tubs and bottles of water cannot be used to fill flasks.

i have the flu and that ironically gave me an idea in .
i was thinking that apart from poison fire resistances etc it would be interesting to have another one,but then i thought that why bother, why not have something similar to that which would effect the way the character moves.
then i thought of it: disease.
basically how it would work would be there would be a bar just below the stamina one in white which represents how healthy you are.
i think that the for simplicities sake the health bar(the red thing) should be called the life bar and health now refers to if you are well or are sick/diseased.
now i thought what would be the implications of having lower health etc. then i thought of speed... i.e the healthier you are the faster you can attack a monster and also becuase your sick you would be slighly less agile and less strong.
how it would work(and im going to need help from guys who can think in more depth than me) would be that if you got attacked by say zombies or creatures which are diseased say skeletons, ghouls this would knock off points from your health bar and as a result it would effect your speed, strength etc.
also places such as sewers and dungoens would effect the health bar if you stayed there say longer than 20 min.
some food would randomly be rotten and so that too would effect your health.
now these do not knock off the health points permanantly because after a while you would feel better but say every 20 min in dungoen knocks off i health point. so every 20 on normal ground would bring you back to normal.
every "diseased" creature has say a 10% chance of knocking off a point and any food has a 20% of being rotten and kncking 1-5 points off your health.
now standing outside isnt the only way to make you feel better, you can eat friut/veg which allows you to replenish the health bar by say 1-10(but beware the rotten factor!!)
or invent another type of potion with another mushroom to replenish 15 points.
i am not sure how much points should be knocked off to effetc say 5-10% of speed strength etc.

This will proabbly be my last suggestions for a long while,i thnk i have run out of ideas.
Ayway here are two ideas so far.
1.Reinforcements- this is a bit tricky to explain but i will try.
Say you enter the orc camp and for arguments sake there ae only 20 orcs. Now you kill 10 of them and leave.I would have thught that the other orcs who are remaining would realise this and the leader would ask for reinforcements to replace those who were killed.
So say for example after every 5 minutes an orc is replaced i.e reinforcements have arrived.
Now i know most of you are thinking ahhh respawning and and groaning when reading this, but thats not the case as explained below.
Now assume that you go back and kill all the orcs. There wouldnt be any reinforcements arriving becuase no orc is alive to ask for reinforcments.
In other words once you clear an area it remains clear, but if you dont then every say 5 minutes a monster to be replaced.
This is the general idea but to make it fit in with Divinity the following ideas are suggested
1.This only applies for living thngs,i.e orcs thugs lizard folk, imp folk but not to hosts, skeletons, zombies. The reason being that the living can recriut others but the dead cannot, the dead only get victims depending on whether they kill people and as such have no control over how many people enter their domain and thus cannot recriut.
2.In order to balance things out an "area" is defined as the yellow boundary on the main or mini map. So again if you kill all living things in that area then it will remain clear.
3.This does not effect animals/insects.
I know that some people will say that you can potentially gain a very high level but you can already do that with the ressurection skill.
2.Treasure idea. I thnk that when you finish a quest involving a dwarf he will grant you an "one off ability" to seek out treasure. So when you are walking along you may get a message saying that" i can sense treasure somewheere". After you scout around you will find a patch of ground which when you point your mouse on will say "soft ground". Then using a spade you would click on the ground and remove earth until you get to the treasure.
The important thing to remember is that the amount of the treasure would depend on the level you are and the treausure can be anywhere above ground in divinity and only before you have become the divine one.
The next thing to remember is that the place can be random.I thought that it would be a nice little bonus. I was going to say that each time you save and quit the game, the next time you resume it that the place would change and you could get a new treasure.
I.e each time you play the game you have a treasure wiating to be found but im not sure if this is possible.
3. Cape idea-yeah i know i have suggested ths before but this time i have refinied the ideas.
Every cape would have an armour rating of 100 and they would have one of the unique abilities of a bonus to Strength, agility, magic and constitution, resistance to fire/poison/lightning/spirit.
Strength, agility e.t.c could have bouses of +2,+4,+6,+8 or +10. Resisitances can have a bonus of +10,+20,+30,+40.
The cape can ony have one of the above and not more than one of the above.
E.g cape of the blacksmith would have a resistance to fire of +10 cape of the wyern =====================================> +20 cape of the salamander=================================> =30 cape of the dragon=====================================> +40
Anyway hope you like the ideas

I’d like to have some sort of ini file in the game folder so: I can stop the Logo Movies from showing at every game start. And so I can customize my games look beyond the normal GUI.

I agree ! I would like to habve the "logo animation" turned off, if I edit an ini file.
Wasn't that possible with ?

Wasn't that possible with ? I could be wrong, but I don’t think it was possible without also killing the in-game movies also. I’m guessing here, but I think all of the movies were Hard Coded together. Again, I’m guessing, so please don’t quote me on this.

Actually, you can just skip the intro movies in DD. This was known in the old forum, then rediscovered here.

I would really love to see a “Collector’s Edition” of the next Larian Game.
The “Collector’s Edition” would offer something like: Added features in the game that the regular version doesn’t have. A game soundtrack CD. A Cloth Map of the game world. An Art book filled with artist’s concept art and a brief about what inspired the creation of each piece of art. Collector’s Cards. Maybe even a Shirt with the Larian Logo.
Maybe it’s just me, but every game I’ve ever bought, if there was a “Collector’s Edition” I always bought it over the regular game version.
