I've been playing BG3 a lot since its release, I've over 20 hours as of now (almost finished in soloplay and lvl 2 in multiplayer).
One of the major gripes I have with game right now is how it handles the camera.
Let me preface this by saying that I have played both D:OS and XCOM games and contrary to D:OS games, BG3 adds a lot of verticality to the game, which is a great addition, in my opinion.
For those of you who might not know what X-COM is, it's a tactical rpg game set in the near future in which you, the player, are the commander of international military organisation that must deal with the invading alien forces, XCOM includes a lot of verticality in the game albeit its verticality is discreet meaning that the map is layered verticaly.
The camera in XCOM handles verticality by layers allowing you to aim/run to a higher/lower position in the same building easily. However in BG3 trying to get around a building from the inside is painfully complicated due to how the camera works. This problem was highlighted in places where there was a great difference of height between two levels in the map, such exemples includes but are not limited to :
The last one is extremely annoying to deal with as you are supposed to be in a rush.
