Something I occasionally notice is that enemies will just "respawn" ladders that you will destroy. My latest case of this is in the Hag's house at the swamp, where a redcap straight up climbed a ladder that I had destroyed. It wasn't a "Climbing on air" thing either. The ladder I had destroyed actually reformed, as if I never destroyed it in the first place.
