That is all really cool. It's good to know. I wanted to do an evil playthrough but I'm so bad at it that I didn't even realize that killing the people of the grove with the cultists help was an option until after it passed. But you still haven't really answered my main question; at what point does anyone make the case that keeping the tadpole and joining the cult is a good thing that won't just end with you turning into a mindflayer? That all sounds really cool and I realize that I missed a whole bunch of those quests because I tried to play a character who was just bluntly self interested and didn't involve herself in issues that did not directly benefit her removing the tadpole. That really killed my ability to engage in the game since it meant passing up a bunch of possible quests, but still I never got an actual "pitch" to join team evil. As far as my character knows, the cult is just a mindflayer trick that will end with her turning into a mindflayer.
