Greetings all,
When playing multiplayer, there is one constant issue which always reduces the flow and fun ... It is an annoyance that can easily be fixed.
- Combat : one player enters combat. Though the other player is within 15 feet or so, he/she is not in combat. So you constantly have to say "Wait! Let me attack to join the fight".
This reduces the beat or thrill of the combat start and reduces the fun feeling in my opinion.
- Likewise, one player enters dialogue. The other player near-by has to really pay attention and say "Wait ! I am not in the dialogue yet !".
It not user friendly nor intuitive.
I UNDERSTAND the system logic here : the other players can free roam, go around, pickpocket, etc. But when you are close to the other player in combat or dialogue, it should by default set you within them, but with the option to exit if desired.
SUGGESTIONS :
Option a) When a player is within about 50 feet (15 m), automatically make them enter the combat or dialogue... but with a button allowing to exit combat or dialogue. The initiating player would have a short 5 to 10 second timer of wait.
Option b) When a player is within about 50 feet (15 m), a pop-up button allows you to enter combat or dialogue. The initiating player would have a short 5 to 10 second timer of wait.
Minor bugs also :
- when a player exits dialogue, it can close the dialogue for all players, including close the trade window.
- during trading/bartering, the other players see the idle trader and cannot exit without closing the trade for everyone.
Major bug : after a multiplayer dialogue, saving can become impossible.
See thread hereNb : also show the dialogue chosen a few seconds before the response.
