I'm not sure if the "paid the price" debuff is supposed to follow your character through the entirety of your playthrough, but if it does I think that this is an incredibly horrible game design decision. This debuff is MASSIVE. Not only will this will really push people to select safe dialogue options moving forward as they progress throughout the game, but it will also make players feel like they want/need to reroll their game. For instance, I chose this dialogue option because it sounded interesting and I wanted to see where it would lead even though I knew it wasn't necessarily the smartest decision (I didn't expect the hag to cure me).
If this debuff can be removed in some manner please feel free to correct me, but seeing as I have killed the hag and closed the questline I don't think it can be.
Anyways, just a suggestion of my part.
I seemed to get an item from her, after some additional dialogue, that would clear the taint from the eye. I got it since I stressed "she did not honor her bargain" which I guess hags are all about. It was a bone she gave me, and it could be used. It had no effect, so it seems bugged at the moment.
