After 12 hours of testing the EA... I decided to give my initial valuation regarding dis game, first of all I want to thank the guys at Larian Studios for bringing to light once again... one of the most iconics brands of videogame of the RPG's genre in recent times.
Is thanks to Baldur's Gate (actually it was more thanks to Baldur's Gate 2 than I never finished it) that I discovered the world of Dungeons & Dragons and I am passionate about it, and later thanks to Neverwinter Night's 1 and 2 I am passionate about it even more .
And from the very first announcement of the game that I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, I was curious to find out every single detail about the gameplay the classes the story and more, when I read the announcement that BG3 had been postponed to October 6 rather than September 30, I said to myself "damn I hope to hold out a little longer", and in fact thank goodness only then after 2 days I bought the game at the speed of light, I admit that I was afraid that I would not turn because... the basic game in the final version will be 150gb (It's really heavy!) but fortunately for now it only weighs about 60gb also because it's just a preview version of something much bigger, anyway when I have I started the game for the first time (obviously before I followed Larian's twitter posts a lot and the official discord for the various DirectX11 recommendations etc to not have graphics and crash problems at startup and while playing) the joy of seeing that the game started me s No hassle, from the opening cutscenes through to character creation and the first few minutes of gameplay I was really super excited to see that I could play the most anticipated game by all the fans of the series, I swear I've never had such excitement for a game release from the days when I was waiting for the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition! and I must say that for now my expectations have been satisfied, I like the combat at Divinity but I admit that you can do more... I know and still an EA but I immediately noticed that the game offers great possibilities especially on character creation that really tickles anyone's fancy and imagination, with the ability to create truly unique and bizarre characters at times but like everything else it can be improved to offer even more freedom and customization. I also tried the Crowd Choice Official ADD for Twitch, and I think it's the most awesome (AND innovative in my opinion) thing that has ever been done for the first time in the RPG and entertainment genre, the ADD. In itself at sometimes have some problems unfortunately... the viewers need to reload the live page to make sure that the ADD can be displayed correctly because every now and then the party icons disappear and consequently it is not possible to select one of the fractions of the dialogues when there is the possibility, but the idea itself is really wonderful, I have always wanted a similar function in an RPG with many choices and depths, and I think that once the finished product BG3 will be able to really give great and motions and entertainment on the whole Twitch platform (And let's not forget the Stadia too) to both Streamers and spectators, involving them both in a big and emotional D&D style story.
However, like many Early Access, the game has several bugs and graphic problems that break the magic of an adventure that still has a long way to go before it can leave the nest and travel the world... in the hearts of millions and millions of fans of D&D and classic Baldur's Gate, many of which prevent the game from progressing by blocking everything and forcing you to have to recreate the character from scratch, but I admit that sometimes certain bugs can also be fun as... strange bending of the joints of the characters, dissolution of some enemies when they are killed that create situations of really funny and comical that after all make them distract from the existence of much more serious problems, and other languages are missing such as Italian for example... but Larian has promised that it will be present in the final version of the game so he gives hope that they care that all players of all nationalities can enjoy the game.
So what is it really worth spending 60 euros for an EA? well... this is indeed a difficult question, I can only say that it depends on you, if you are aware that what you are buying is a product not yet finished and full of bugs, errors and missing contents no one forces you to buy it, if instead you are not convinced and you want to wait for it to be released okay, you are free to decide what you ... but I also say this.
Paying 60 euros is not only a way to have access to the game before the official release...but it is also a way in my opinion to contribute to the development of the game and to be able to contribute to the Larian guys because these guys... to the detriment of many others who do not appreciate them for me they know RPGs they really do and thanks to their game play that may or may not be liked only they can give a truly experience similar to a paper game because and this the strength of Larian Studios !
T]o the detriment of many others who do not appreciate them for me they know RPGs they really do and thanks to their game play that may or may not be liked only they can give a truly experience similar to a paper game because and this the strength of Larian!, because unlike many other developers these days you can see that they put and for their creations, just see the great success that made Divinity Original Sin and then its successor, Larian it truly puts its and into dis products and truly cares about their players, and for this reason, in my opinion...
WoTC has given them the go-ahead to the BG3 project because they are the ones who can fulfill the arduous mission of create the game that could mark the new era of video games based on D&D and the entire RPG genre!
I therefore feel compelled to give my contribution to the development of this game, posting my ideas and advice and reporting the most serious (and the strangest and funniest) bugs at the moment, so tomorrow I will create 2 posts one on my Ideas that I would like on BG3 and I will update this post to add a direct link to the posts in question, I hope it will be a point of reference for many and I hope that we can reach a meeting point regarding the ideas to do about the game, the goal and that of creating a constructive speech avoiding conflicts of ideas and interests, and that what I will expose can be understood so that the developers can better understand what I have in mind but not only me also the other users who I hope will be able to contribute to the discussion, in any case tomorrow I will calmly post but for now I am satisfied with the product and I wish all my heart good luck to the Larian guys and I hope they can really create the dream of the best RPG on D&d of all time.

I thought buying the game will help make it better as a final product. I hope it will, but I don't know how much influence we actually have right now, especially since Larian has been very silent about the game development ever since the EA was released

From your perspective it's "but my idea is really good, and needs immediate attention", and, to be fair, it may be. But the game sold 1 million copies plus, so far, so how long do you think it's going to take to go through the feedback, from here, Steam, Stadia, if it has it's own forum, and the actual feedback button on the launcher and any crash reports that get sent in? They have to read it, discuss it, separate the wheat from the chaff, and then decide on a direction, if a course correction is required in their view. There have been hot fixes released, and a rollback of a patch since I've been playing, and I didn't start on day 1, so it would seem they're listening, if they're not replying to every suggestion.

I get all that, but I wonder how much they are willing to change things that are not bug fixes and game balance. I based my assumptions solely on how they handled dos2. The optimist in me says they'll do things differently but so far they are doing things extremely similarly. I hope to be wrong
