So I think the 4 person party is right for this game. Six, in a turn base gets a bit tedious. Ai in those tight environments? Pathfinding would be rough. To me 4 just fits the map better.
Six player turns take Up a lot of time. Jagged Alliance II set the bar( in my mind) for 6 player turn based combat. They had big open maps. Fights would last forever! (I believe this was my first save scum game) Epic. but man....1 fight could be a whole game session
I love the esthetic, and the up close and personal camera view.(for an RPG) You would loose that.
Balancing would be more monsters? More hit points? More encounters ? The scale of the map feels right but it could get crowded quick.
I think when they implement full custom party, and open up other classes, It will be change that will fine tune the 4 person system.
Also it would be nice if we could assign stats on the story characters
So what is the big draw to six?
Does it really improve the gameplay?
Oh, I was think of putting "remove barrels" please in ever post. I have been playing D&D since 1984 And I have never once had conveniently placed high explosives on the battlefield. And, if it did happen in a game, (I can't remember) but if it did happen, it was not more then once.
