Oh yeah I killed the hag before she even starting combat by just placing barrels around her then detonating them. Instant kill of the hag.

Barrel and surface gameplay is more divinities thing than it is DnD as far as I am aware. At the very least such stuff is incredibly rare, not the common go to. You have to go out of your way to avoid it sometimes. Like the druid drove battle has random explosive barrels everywhere?
Why did the druids even let them have EXPLOSIVE BARRELS in their sacred druid grove that could, quite feasibly, damage the place or even burn it to the ground? that alone should be reason to kick the tieflings out. After my 43 hours of gameplay I'm kind of sick and tired of the battlefield being absolutely drenched in surface effects everywhere. It's overkill. And means cantrips are kind of more effective than spells due to their surface effects more often than now.

It's silly, it's wacky, it's not a bad thing but it's divinity.

There's a lot of good in BG3, as expected of Larian. They are clearly a very good RPG dev who know what they're doing: Which is making Divinity. Goes to show that aspects of the game which are lacking are those that are suppose to be more in tune with the theme of 5e or FR.
