I will say that though the game needs a lot of tweaks and so on, one thing the game has done right so far is it's characters. Just through the early access and I actually really like the characters.
That being said, I feel like it's easier to earn approval with some than others. By that I don't mean "this character doesn't agree with me", but more the amount of opportunities you get to impress (or piss them off) are more rare than with others. For exampel I find it REALLY easy to get Gale to high approval very fast, where other characters like Astarion has less options - though eventually I did manage to get the approval up. I have the same problem with La'zel.
Dialogue:
The animation is really good and the voice actors are amazing. What I would like to add are things that I have seen people wanting in other RPG's and that I feel would be relevant here. While this first act you don't know your companions that well, in later acts it would be nice to have the option to act. So if one character is upset, you might put a hand on their shoulder or give them a hug to comfort them - of course this wouldn't fit for every character, but you get the idea. Another option could be to slap them or give them a fist in the jaw (which has already been used in other dialogue, but not with companions).
The last thing that would be nice for us who enjoy the romance, is being able to give our companion a kiss in camp. I know this might seem silly to some, but it can matter for the RPG experience fore some of us.
