Try "1" or "spacebar" on your keyboard during the part of the conversation that won't proceed. It's a workaround that's gotten a number of us out of a tight spot with conversation bugs that wouldn't allow us to proceed; this way you can play on until the devs fix the reported bug. Hope this helps!
