Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems How do I get my character back?

Multiple times now we go back into the game and I'm not playing my character, I'm playing one of the NPCs and the host of the game is now playing their character, my character and the other NPC.

How do you re-assign characters ON PURPOSE to fix this??

Hit Escape and press the Sessions button (bottom left).

It opens a special windows where you can decide which characters the player or players will control.
