I really love the inclusion of the Githyanki as a major race and story element in BG3. They're a refreshingly unique race with a badass aesthetic and lore. What I'm hoping for is more Githyanki content as the game progresses for those of us with Githyanki characters, as well as those running with Lae'zel in their party. More unique hairstyles and beards would be a good start. There are a few decent choices for hairstyles, I guess, but currently none of the beards available in character creation really suit Githyanki. They should have more of a Fu Manchu look, if you know what I mean. See below:



That brings me to weapons, armour, accessories, etc. Lae'zel's Githyanki Half Plate is nice, but more varieties of Githyanki-style armor and clothing to be found throughout our adventure would be welcome additions. Again, the image above is a good representation of the kind of look that could be available. Some unique enchanted items in the Githyanki style would also be great in order to stay competitive against high level enemies without sacrificing that Githyanki aesthetic. I really don't want to create a Githyanki character but then be forced to wear armour or robes that don't suit the race at all.

I'd also like to see githzerai represented honestly, give us a zerth!

I still can't get over the fact that they did give Lae'zel special armor, but no sliver sword! I mean, she's probably to low ranking for one, but still...

On topic: Maybe a bit, but I'd prefer to first have some more proper Realms content in this Baldur's Gate game before more Planescape stuff...

It comes up at some point that she's outright not a full Githyanki knight in service to her queen yet (I don't know the lore so I'm unfamiliar with how this stuff is supposed to work) and she explicitly states that her ambition is to earn her silver blade and red dragon mount. I'm guessing her companion quest will present the opportunity to do that down the line.

Just to illustrate my point about beards, here are some pictures that show the sort of facial hair that would better suit Githyanki and Githzerai straight from established art work:



Please also consider adding some robes and other items inspired by such images so that a wider variety of class types can have a Gith look about them. Oh, and adding Githzerai as one of two Gith subraces (obviously Githyanki for the other) would be pretty awesome. The dialogue options with Lae'zel and other Githyanki if you're Githzerai would be interesting, to say the least.
