Wait there is a camping mechanic???

Mostly I tend to use only cantrips for my wizard, eldritch blast for my Warlock. I use my clerics heals only if someone falls. As for my fighter I tend not to use second wind, or action surge. This is standard to the way I play even on pen and paper, when dealing with normal fights. If I'm low on hp, I tend to eat food to refill then move on. At times my party begin spouting nonsense about needing a rest then I camp for the day.

I also camp for the day before entering areas that could lead to a boss fight. (Got hammered hard at lvl 3 by the hags first minions) So I did a short rest to refill what I used on my fighter, still only used cantrips on my wizard.

Sleeping in dungeouns, and camps. Most dm's allow short rests, long rests being 8 hours are tricky do to random encounters, yet I've known DM's to allow it if the party travels back out of the area, and have a guard. The key being the camp ig, and being allowed by the DM are outside of the area. Sure Larian doesn't currently have random encounters I'm hoping they do, but for now we got what we got.

The big thing here is again players Choice. I and several others of you have already mentioned exploiting, and lets face it many people actively search for exploits. but again it's their choice, I'm glad others are like me, and actually want to do things realistically, and non cheese mode.
