Hi,
I don't really know where to post that but this is a topic to talk about the french translation.

I already notice a few things that aren't translated as they should if you read the D&D rules or that looks a little bit ridiculous ATM.

- Shadowheaert : the translation is a little bit ridiculous (I mean ok, her name is ridiculous in EN, but it's even more for French speakers with a translation).
- Cantrip : in french "tour de magie"... A "tour de magie" is i.e a rabbit that comes out a hat or a girl in a box you cut in two with a huge sword but tadaaaa, it was a "tour de magie"... Not sure it doesn't suit "cantrip" but the french D&D translation for cantrip is "sorts mineur". That looks a little bit more serious.
- Warlock : in french the rules talk about "sorcier"... Not "demoniste", which is just "demonist" in english.

BUG / MISTAKE

- Cantrip -> Sort mineur tour de magie (D&D FR PHB)
- Warlock -> Sorcier démoniste (D&D FR PHB)
- Light Weapon -> Arme légère lumière (LANGUAGE)

OPINION

- Names shouldn't be translated (Shadowheart)

I add another mistake in the translation...

Some weapons are "light". It's translated as "lumière", which is the light of a lamppost...

"Light weapon" in french is: "Arme légère"

I didn't though to try the game in french, generally playing in english even when there is a french translation. Did Larian communicate that they need help for this? Never though that a Belgian studio (in Flemish Region but still) would translate light weapon literraly "arme lumière".

And you are right, they should not translate characters names, it's kind of corny.
