I just had this issue a few minutes ago after a fight. Walked past a few of the corpses and everyone in the party took between 3-5 bludgeoning damage. One of my companions asked if I was trying to make an enemy of them. Not sure why or what happened, but it was all centered around an unassuming spot in the road by a corpse of an enemy we had killed.
