Dragonlance at start, yes, but didn't Soth have a storyline where he got sucked into Ravenloft- which is part of the forgotten realms by way of the Ethereal Plane ?
He was, as well as Vecna. Both was able to escape. Soth returned to Dragonlance, Vecna returned to Greyhawk (where he also became a deity)
Awesome, thanks for that heads up... it's been so many years since i was a young man reading dragonlance books and devouring all lord-soth content , that many things have slipped my mind since then... it's sad. However, given that lord soth briefly lived within the ravenloft - doesn't that bring about the rational conclusion that the character type (anti-paladin - lawful evil) that Lord Soth portrayed allows for similar characters to be brought in? There is the oathbreaker, but i've not read much into the oathbreaker lore - are they considered undead themselves?
