Having a backpack and putting really heavy items into it greatly reduces encumberance. Picking up another item
resets to it as it should be. But just move the heavy item from backpack to inventory and then back again drops
your encumberance right back down again.

I checked this by putting 3 nautiloid tanks into the first backpack I could find, the pack increased in weight exactly the amount of the tank.
Is there a particular item or pack a you are using to achieve this?
Are you closing/opening some screens between these steps?
I would like to help and see if I could replicate this issue.

I can't roll Perception on Dev's aura on this forums

My weight totals seem to have a random component that triggers on occasion... but I don't see that encumbrance/penalties are being enforced at the moment ... so there's that.

yeah I they are. At double carrying capacity my characters simply cannot move. Also believe it affected my combat, and movement. but not 100% on last bit, do to me just sending everything to camp currently

I'm curious to know why the 'Spider egg' I picked up weighs 30 kg. :P

Yeah. I told Larian about it, but understandably not a priority. I want to carry it in case it interacts with something ... Heavy little baby.

Nb : also, my main character has a total weight that seems more than what I am actually carrying.

Follow-up about the egg : I think someone at Larian is trolling me, because it now weighs 60 ! :P
