I love that there is a way to knock NPCs unconscious, but I noticed it isn't acknowledged much down the road.

For example, I failed all of my persuasion and sneaky tricks with Healer Nettie when she tried to kill me. I didn't want to play an evil character, so I did what I thought was the expected thing: I knocked her out instead of killing her, took the antidote and key, and went on my way. I was actually really pleased that the game let me solve the situation as a good guy outside of dialogue, since in most games once dialogue ends you don't have any other way to interact with the story besides deciding who to smash first.

So I was disappointed when I returned to the area later in the story (to collect the reward from the Druids) that she not only didn't react to this solution, but was still hostile. I understand it'd be a monumental task to write dialogue for every character, but it seemed to be a natural choice there that I would expect to have a built-in reaction after a major story beat.
