So I am pretty new to DnD and I really appreciate Larian helping me along by giving me preset backstories to add some flair to my background.

The game starts with my character snatched from somewhere and along that teleporting dragon chase I land somewhere.

I have made several characters and one of the ones that sticks with me is a drow ranger with a noble background.

So shouldn't my armor reflect that?
Some drow spider themed starting armor? Why am I in a crappy leather garb?

This brings me to the Origine characters as well.
It feels wrong upgrading their armor. Laezel should keep her Gith armor, shadowheart her unique chainmail armor.
I feel bad replacing their old armor while I feel bad because I don't think my character should look like a petty adventurer so the whole game I am trying to find the armor that should fit my backstory.

Maybe my drow should have their drow noble/acolyte/criminal/entertainer/etc gear when I start the game.

And maybe... the game should allow us to upgrade the stats but keep the original look?

Character creation should include these options as well as the face and body (and just so we are clear we need more options in that department too jewelry, scars, blindfolds, piercings and etc)
