Hey there,

I Just wanted to discuss the goblin / groves fight. In my playthrough, I choose to fight goblin, and I started by the inside of the fortress.

Because of its scales, the beautiful environment and the verticality, theses fights should be epic. Yet, for some reason, they are one of the most boring fight for me. Just browsing and waiting through 20+ goblin to take their turn doesn't feel fun to me. Trying to take advantage of the height should be good in theory, but in practice, because of the limited movement, merely moving to the vines ladder and climbing take up to 3/4 turn, meaning you have to wait 80 enemy turn merely to move into a good position for the fight, all the while trying to cast sleep/ control and trading a few blow while archers pincushion you.

I'm not sure how to fix that, maybe make ennemies move and act fasters, or have less ennemies, or have bigger AoE but atm, this fight is a real pain for me. What do you think?

It's an inherent issue with big fights. I love big fights, but the length of time they take to get through could use some work. I think the linked initiative turns would be the best solution to this, but I don't know if the engine is capable of calculating all the enemy movements and actions simultaneously.

Yeah, that would be great if all the enemy could just decide before their turn what to do, if there is no party member turn between their.

I've actually had a few instances where 2 or 3 enemies took their turns all at once with sped up animations, not sure if it was intended or lag, but would be nice to have that in big fights to speed things up.

The Goblin raid right now is a pain really, whichever side you choose doesn't change how the fights drags on.

I would solve this by dividing the battle in waves of smaller battles, that way the player feels like its participating more, and as the bodies pile up it would still feel like a big battle.
