Most of the "second wave" options just makes the game harder, or gives a slight alteration to both sides. I would not want any of your suggestion (sorry), but I would like some "second wave" like options for features that I don't particularly like, such as
- "There are no kangaroos in Faerûn" Jumping now incurs an attack of opportunity
- "Nobody picnics in a dungeon" Food no longer heals
- "Eyes in the back of your head could be a tadpole!" No backstabbing, applies to both foes and friends
- "Elevated risk" No advantage or disadvantage shooting up or down
- "Bloodied" Being below half hitpoints incurs a -2 penalty to all rolls. Applies to both foes and friends.
- "A not so helping hand" Help no longer heals anyone downed, but stabilizes them
- "Mundane Monday" No magic items, special arrows or healing potions are available at shops.
- "Diamonds are a girl's best friend" Resurrections at camp now relies on you purchasing or finding a diamond worth at least 500gp, which is consumed upon raising someone from the dead
- "Merchants, not hoarders" Merchants will pay a diminishing amount of money for similar items. Nobody needs 20 goblin swords
- "Who forgot to bring the mule?" You can carry a lot less
- "It's nice to see a friendly face" Companions don't have disapprove reactions, only approve
- "Potions are fiddly things when someone is hacking your face" Drinking a healing potion now costs an action
A lot of the stuff that's being discussed could be made optional.
