I have noticed that a lot of custom characters come with the Baldurian tag. Could we have a choice of culture in future? It makes no sense that a character with the outlander background would be Baldurian. If Gale is Waterdhavian, why not allow it for custom characters? Why do drow have to be from the Underdark? What if they are born to surface drow parents and raised among humans?

On a somewhat related note; I think more dialogue options should be unlocked by background rather than class. For example, when talking to the kid selling 'magic' rings, a rogue can call him out on his 'con'. I feel it would be more appropriate if this were unlocked by the charlatan background instead of the rogue class. Why would a rogue with the noble background and no proficiency in deception or sleight of hand be able to name specific cons?

I agree, it would be nice. Though I imagine it could wreck havoc in conversation tags, haha. But if it could be done? Sure. I think someone mentioned saying he's not from a city in a conversation and the game still treating him as Baldurian. (Or something similar.)

Also agree that backgrounds should be of more importance, even if it's minor stuff.

I would love for backgrounds to also give some conversation options.
More so than culture to be honest.
Being an Urchin and talking to the tiefling kids would have been cool to get some options.

(Although, let's face it, we select origin for the skills)
