Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Help Tips & Tricks Tieflings Attack!

So I'm running around doing my thing and on one trip back to sell/steal stuff at the druid grove the Tieflings decided to attack me... I'm not sure what triggered this reaction from them. Is it time based? I did steal some gloves from Zelvor and I stole the druid's sacred idol... any ideas what triggered it? I don't really want to kill them but the game seems to be forcing me... outside of the grove the only things I've really done is the crypt that Shadowheart points you to, the owlbear cave, and the Blighted Village. Also, as a side note, I have stolen quite a bit of equipment from the two merchants in the grove but the druid merchant doesn't aggro me at all. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I had the same problem after the first fight with goblins at the grove's gate. Though i wasn't able to identify the reason, i suspect that it might be me using non-damaging AoE spells during the fight. Some tieflings got Blinded and maybe it was counted as agression. I loaded the earlier save and the problem was gone. It's just a theory though, i have no confidence in it.

I'm a wee bit past that fight... Like I said, I didn't have any issues until after coming back from the blighted village. I've completed most if not all the quests that can be resolved before finding Halsim. Its probably a bug... I'll just have to start over. I think they got tired of my stealing all their wares and just wanted to beat me up, lol.

I figured out the trigger... stealing from Dammon, the Tiefling smith... happens every time I steal from him. Maybe it's a bug?

Same here, I get Tiefling Caravan aggro when I steal from Dammon. It seems like a bug to me since I can steal from the Gnome Druid merchant at the cave entrance just fine without drawing aggro. It seems to be a situation unique to Dammon.

You need to get away far from him after you do this, then wait out a bit. Don't know if it's a bug.
