The title says it all. In Baldur's Gate 1, you had the option of having a choice between 25 companions. And in Baldur's Gate 2, you had the opportunity of 17 companions granted; you cannot take them all at once, but the variety of choice was there. It would be much better if you do not get them all right away because the game would get boring. I actually would like to search for my companions. I don't understand Larians' logic when they give you four companions and think it's a fantastic thing. I genuinely believe that Larian needs to step up their game with Baldur's Gate 3 if they want to have it as a smashing success surpassing Divinity original sin 2, which I do not believe was as good as Divinity original sin 1 IMHO.
