I am not sure if you mean banter or cinematic scenes, but I have noticed that they really don't like eachother. Everything you do for approval for one, the other disapproves of. So it seems you have to choose between them, which may have been intentional as with only a 4 man party you're encouraged to take 1 STR frontliner, a rogue, a wizard, and your PC
