The option to play as a Githzerai would require additional dialogue for Lae'zel.
Maybe the whole

infernal puzzle box affair
and her being abandoned by the Githyanki

will lead to Lae'zel losing her faith in Vlaakith.
Dak'kon would be nice to have, he was one of my favourite companions in Planescape.
