Does it work now? If not will it work soon? Has there been any mention of it? I want to play with my wife, but her computer is trash, so we would have to use stadia for her and PC for me. I don't want to buy a second copy of the game yet if it's not going to work.

Wondering this myself. Seems the staidia hotfix version is one behind which might be causing the issue.

Today, at least, the version numbers appear to be the same 4.1.83.6620, and it still appears to have server matching issues.
