I was referring to fighting the Demon of lies bare handed, with no equipment. During the wastelands I used 3 minor restoration potions for healing (one for Moriendor, two for the Demon of Lies the first time I killed him). I maxed Survivor's instinct when I got to the wastelands, just to use up some skill points. Few monsters / groups did any significant damage (even the 4 dragon riders together), so this was more then adequate for most healing.
