I never said they were immune you assumed that, all i said was the dragons were immune to their own damage types, meaning that is the resistance the subclass offers if you pick that lineage. If you had read the whole thing i even said for deep dragons since there breath is psychic
damage , you would gain resistance to psychic damage.
