As the title implies, I've spoken to Gale about his need to consume arcane artifacts three seperate times. Despite people in my party repeatedly saying things like "Gale might be interested in this" whenever I find a powerful magical item, I will periodically return to camp only to get the whole "Did you like the deer stew?" into him confiding in me. I never really have him in my party as I'm already playing a caster (Tiefling Warlock just in case it matters for some reason), and I don't have any dialogue options to give him the artifacts I've been saving just for him or anything of the sort. I have no idea if I need him to be in my party to trigger his interest in certain items, or if I should be talking with him in camp to 'feed' him the things he needs, but it just never happens.
I've noticed that it seems to reset any time I pick up an item that triggers the "Gale might have use for this" dialogue from my character and my companions, as it reset after picking up the Amulet of Selune and then reset again after obtaining the Staff of Crones. Hope this helps out.
