On the half-drow thing, it's worth keeping in mind that the word drow use for half-drow is the same word they use for excrement

if they find one, they will torture them to death, or at best they'll end up being a sex slave to a noble who likes how they look

so it would be astoundingly unusual for a half-drow to identify with drow culture, I think there's one in all of the lore and she had a sentient blade that refused to serve anyone else, a blade belonging to the first house - so she got special dispensation (and still ended up as basically a bed warmer for Tiago Baenre)

A half-drow is about as drow to a dark elf as a person of color with a white and black parent would be considered white to a southern plantation owner in the 1800s, in that, to them, it's either full drow, or less than, in fact a human might be able to get more respect because half-drow would be coded as "Bastard child with a slave" to most drow*

that would actually lead to some interesting dialogue with the absolute lady, since she rejected drow society
