Hi there,

I was curious if the creatures raise in level with you? I ran into the githyanki patrol with a level 4 party and they absolutely slaughtered my group - like not even a close competition. They were all level 5. Should I go elsewhere and come back after leveling, or will they just be higher level when I come back? I really don't want to have to resort to the whole dumb exploding barrel trick. Thanks!

Well, I think the level cap is 4. So I don't think you are able to level up or past them right now. I believe that all the encounters will be fixed, so if/when we get more content in early access, so when that happens you would be able to come back to encounters when you are more powerful, i think.

Hmmm... I'll have to see... cause I'm still gaining EXP at four and still see progress on the bar. Will update if I hit 5. I thought I saw people saying they hit level 10 or something like that... I sure hope so because as of now this fight is next to impossible without cheesing it.

No, EA is blocked at level 4. You won't get higher. But this group is quite easy to manage if you prepared well with positioning and stealth.

Thunderwave is your friend, and if your a good sneak, sneak and push them over the edge.
If your a lousy sneak use mage hand for pushing

It's sad that you have to resort to this to stand a chance. I guess if I exhaust all other options I'll do that. Thanks for the advice folks.

Your XP will go up til you would hit 5, then the bar disappears and it tells you that you've reached max experience. In reality, if you hover over it, you keep gaining experience, but it just wont let you actually level up to 5 =/

Most people who fight them, split their group up, and have ranged up on the bridge. If the gith teleport up there, push them off, they only get 1 teleport each for the ones who do teleport.

Lvl 4 is it for EA at this time. The fight is very winnable using tactics and preparation. Search the forums, there are posts on how to..

Thanks all! yeah it's amazing the difference the fight makes when you're rested, not grouped up, and get some good lucky shots in... much less challenging smile One of the giths did teleport up and yeah my first thought was running Wyll over there and pushing the creature off - that was an easy and enjoyable 20 points of damage plus one of his force bolts to kill that guy in a single turn. smile

Awww - this makes me sad. Hopefully this will just all pile in when it gets extended and we insta-level.

I fought them "legit" having my full party chained and having Lae'zel talking...no prebuffs, no pushing and stomped them into the ground. featherfall + triple jump and you have the upperhand after the first round. Then it's just pick and choose. At that point in the game every char in my party had dozens of scrolls+ giant hp pots and you can pretty much lock them down for numerous rounds in blind clouds and silence spheres etc

You have to be prepared for the possibility that you'll need to start from scratch.

How do you get so many HP pots? I either never have gold (though, largely afraid to sell a lot of stuff), or can't find vendors with pots

I just got to the end of the early access and now I see what you mean - it's really cool they added that in - as useless as it may be it's a nice touch.

You won't hit lvl 5 in EA - unless they open up more of the game.
