Stealing from Dammon once is okay. After the second time, this triggers the spamming text, along with insta-aggro from every Tiefling in the Grove toward the character who did the stealing. This happens in both single and multiplayer, and all sleight of hand and stealth rolls succeeded. Also, after the first theft, it appears that the Druid trader Arron comes running over.
