So I just realize something. When you start the game and you meet up with Lae'zel. You meet a woman in a pod. Not shadowheart but the other one. The one if you push the control panel turns into a mind flayer. You don't really see the transformation but judging from the look of the MC, it's appalling. Now later on after you crash land and find Lae'zel and you talk to her, she describles the whole transformation to you, if you ask through her available dialog choices.
Now just a moment ago on the mindflayer ship you just witness it, so why does Lae'zel need to explain to you the transformation process if you already saw it? Still I do like how Lae'zel describes it.
